Welcome to Plants Have Power! My name is Taeyeschanaye (Tay-ja-nay), and I’m so glad you’ve joined me on this exciting journey. This blog is dedicated to exploring the powerful, often hidden, world of plant medicine, as well as sharing valuable knowledge about the interplay between plants, parasites, and viruses. Here, we dive into the healing potential of nature and how plants can support us in combating harmful invaders, both seen and unseen.

At Plants Have Power, my mission is to teach others about the immense potential of natural medicine, with a special focus on understanding how plants can aid in the prevention and treatment of parasite and viral infections. As I pursue my future as a doctor in virology, I am deeply committed to the study of both viral pathogens and parasitic infestations, and how herbal remedies can be used to support immune health and combat these threats.

In my pursuit of knowledge, I will be exploring how plants interact with the body on a cellular level to bolster immunity and resist helminthic (worm) parasites , oblique parasites , as well as DNA and RNA Viruses . Through this platform, I aim to bridge the gap between traditional herbal wisdom and the latest scientific findings in the fight against these common health issues.

On Plants Have Power, you’ll find a rich variety of content, including:

  • History of All things Science: Debunked Deep dives into the history of Science involved in the Black community.

  • Herbal remedies for parasites: Learn how specific plants have been used for centuries to combat worm and other parasitic infections, including natural dewormers and treatments for intestinal health.

  • Viruses & plant-based support: Deep dives into how certain plants may provide viral resistance or aid in the treatment of viral infections, informed by my studies and different peer research in virology.

  • Parasites 101: Educational resources about the different types of parasites focusing on helminths (worms) and oblique parasites —how they affect the body, and how plants can help prevent and treat these infections.

  • Virology 101: Educational resources about the different types of Viruses focusing on DNA and RNA Viruses—how they affect the body, and how plants can help prevent and treat these infections.

  • The intersection of modern medicine and plant power: Updates from my journey as I work toward my career as a virologist, exploring how plant medicine can complement or even enhance contemporary treatments for parasitic and viral infections.

I believe that plant medicine holds untapped potential in helping us live healthier, more resilient lives—especially when it comes to protecting ourselves from the harmful effects of parasites and viruses. I’m excited to share these insights with you and empower you to use nature’s tools to safeguard your well-being.

Thank you for being part of this community, and I look forward to growing and learning with you as we explore the powerful connection between plants, health, and healing!
